AsianFin -- The 2025 World Robot Conference (WRC) officially opened today in Yizhuang, Beijing, and will run until August 12, bringing together global thought leaders, top robotics firms, and a record number of humanoid robots for what is being hailed as the most significant robotics industry event to date.
More than 400 prominent figures in robotics—including scientists, international organization representatives, and corporate leaders—are attending the event. Notable participants include Wang Xingxing, Founder of Unitree Robotics; Takayuki Ito, President of the International Federation of Robotics; and Rev Lebaredian, Vice President of Omniverse and Simulation Technology at Nvidia.
The conference features keynote speeches, high-level forums, and industry dialogues focusing on embodied intelligence, industry innovation, and the practical deployment of robotics across sectors.
This year, Hall A spotlights embodied intelligence, anchored by two major national-local joint innovation centers from Beijing and Shanghai.
At Booth A103, the Beijing Humanoid Robot Innovation Center—China』s first full-stack embodied intelligence hardware and software developer—is presenting its two flagship platforms: the 「Tiangong」 universal robot platform and the 「Huisi Kaiwu」 embodied intelligence platform. The center aims to become a globally recognized source of embodied intelligence breakthroughs and a leading hub for real-world applications.
Next door, Booth A104 houses the National-Local Joint Humanoid Robot Innovation Center, operated by Humanoid Robot (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., where the 「Qinglong」 humanoid robot will demonstrate advanced task-execution skills.
JD.com, the exclusive global strategic partner of the 2025 World Robot Conference, commands one of the largest exhibition spaces. It will feature over 50 cutting-edge robots from partners including Unitree Robotics, AgiBot, Tiangong, EngineAI, Galaxea AI, LimX Dynamics, Spirit AI, and Noetix Robotics, offering visitors direct interaction opportunities. The e-commerce giant will also unveil new strategic initiatives, announce industry support measures, and outline its embodied intelligence roadmap to deepen ties with leading robotics brands.
UBTECH will debut its industrial humanoid robot Walker S2, designed for intelligent manufacturing. Powered by Co-Agent technology, Walker S2 integrates dexterous hands and bionic arms, enabling complex operations such as autonomous battery replacement. UBTECH Vice President and Research Institute head Jiao Jichao noted that humanoid robot efficiency has reached roughly half that of humans, with industrial deployments leading adoption before expanding into commercial and household uses.
Unitree Robotics, one of the event』s most anticipated exhibitors, will unveil two new models: the four-legged Unitree A2 and the company』s third humanoid robot, the Unitree R1. It will also bring the humanoid robot arena battle—first seen at WAIC—to Beijing. At the earlier WAIC event, two robots traded rapid punches and agile dodges in front of an awe-struck, tightly packed crowd, many struggling to even raise their phones for a clear shot. The spectacle is expected to be a major draw again, likely to dominate social media clips from this year』s WRC.
Although AgiBot, a key rival to Unitree, will not be exhibiting at this year』s WRC Expo—after making its debut at the event last year—the company will still have a presence. Yao Maoqing, President of AgiBot Embodied Intelligence Division and Executive Dean of its Research Institute, is scheduled to deliver a keynote speech on August 11 at one of the main forums, where he will unveil AgiBot's latest advancements in embodied intelligence.
Meanwhile, Booster Robotics will occupy the booth directly opposite Unitree』s, drawing attention with live demonstrations of its BOOSTER T1 humanoid robot in action. The company is set to stage daily soccer matches, including 2V2 AI robot games and interactive sessions with human players, showcasing the T1』s advanced athleticism and cutting-edge AI capabilities.

In Hall A, Nvidia partner AI² Robotics will demonstrate the rapid generalization and task execution capabilities of its general-purpose intelligent robot, AlphaBot 2, across a range of scenarios—including household, industrial, and entertainment environments such as tea delivery and other everyday tasks. Leading robotics companies ABB, Yaskawa, and KUKA will also showcase their advanced robotic arms and automation equipment.
Meanwhile, publicly listed firm DOBOT will present several innovations, including its six-legged bionic robot and the DOBOT X-Trainer embodied intelligent robot, highlighting real-world applications of embodied intelligence VLA.
This year』s WRC is also placing a strong focus on humanoid robotics. Rising player Siasun Robotics will feature a diverse lineup, including the Siasun Intelligent Humanoid Dual-arm Platform, the 「Songyi」 wheeled humanoid robot, the 「Songxing」 bipedal humanoid, the Ruike RICO wheeled humanoid, and the Siasun Duoke coffee-serving robot.
Hall B will host a dynamic display of humanoid robot applications, with companies such as ALLIN, GalBot, Robotera, Magic Atom, Keenon, and others unveiling new products and scenario-driven solutions.
Notably, GalBot announced on August 7 the debut of the world』s first fully autonomous humanoid robot-operated retail pod, the Galaxy Space Pod, at Zhongguancun Dairong City. At this year』s WRC, the company will showcase its 「Robot Kiosk」 on the exhibition floor, offering the first live demonstration of Galbot』s unmanned vending capabilities.
Wang He, Assistant Professor at Peking University and Founder & CTO of GalBot, shared that the company is set to roll out its 「Ten Cities, Hundred Stores」 initiative. Beginning in Beijing』s Haidian District, the Galaxy Space Pods will be deployed across residential neighborhoods, tourist destinations, commercial areas, and transport hubs in multiple cities—forming a scalable, rapidly deployable intelligent retail network. According to the company, each unmanned pod is expected to serve up to 2,000 people daily.
Fourier Intelligence unveiled its first full-sized humanoid Care-bot, the GR-3, on August 6. This flagship model is designed for interactive companionship and features a 「touchable」 capability. During the WRC exhibition, the GR-3 will make its official debut at WRC, alongside an upgraded 「Embodied Intelligence Rehabilitation Hub」 showcase and a dance performance by the humanoid robot N1, offering a dynamic fusion of technology and vitality.
Magic Lab will present its entire family of robots and a range of embodied intelligence solutions at WRC, including the full-sized general-purpose bipedal humanoid robot 「Xiaomai,」 the high-dynamic bipedal robot MagicBot Z1, the consumer-grade quadruped robot MagicDog, the wheeled quadruped MagicDog-W, and the highly anticipated debut of the industrial quadruped MagicDog Y1. Currently, Magic Lab offers comprehensive robotic solutions for automation transformation and assembly line operations. Its 「Qianjing Co-Creation」 strategic partnership network has expanded to over 50 companies across industries such as healthcare, retail, tourism, education, and manufacturing. In industrial settings, multiple robots have already been deployed on factory production lines for product inspection, material handling, parts picking and placing, barcode scanning, and warehousing, achieving localized collaborative operations.
EngineAI is making its first comprehensive appearance at WRC, where it will unveil the world』s latest heavy-duty, full-size general-purpose humanoid robot, the T800, as well as its force-controlled dexterous hand. Meanwhile, the ZQ PMO1 humanoid robot will showcase a dynamic dance performance. In addition, ZQ Robots has announced a new ultra-lightweight companion humanoid robot, priced at 38,500 yuan, standing about 1.25 meters tall and weighing around 25 kg. It is touted as 「the first humanoid robot for young people」—seemingly positioned to compete with the Unitree R1.
Robotera will debut its full-size bipedal humanoid robot, the Stardust L7 series, at WRC, featuring on-site performances such as 360-degree spins and street dance shows. The Stardust Q5 will also demonstrate practical applications in logistics, warehousing, and commercial services.
Noetix Robotics is participating in WRC for the first time, presenting a series of exciting performances throughout the day, including robot dancing, somersaults, humanoid running, and multi-terrain walking. Recently, Songyan Dynamics announced the completion of a multi-hundred-million-yuan Series A++ financing round, led by Jinpu Investment, with follow-on investments from BAIC Capital, CICC Capital, Jinko Solar, Yunhui Capital, Youshan Capital, Zhuoyuan Asia, and Yuanzhi Future, among others. According to Songyan Dynamics, the company has already secured over 2,000 commercial orders in the first half of this year, with total contract value expected to exceed 100 million yuan, making it the second domestic humanoid robot company—after Unitree—to clearly cross the 「thousand-unit sales」 threshold.
It』s worth noting that Galaxea AI, which rarely exhibits publicly, for the first time at this WRC, will unveil and demonstrate the world』s first end-to-end full-body control VLA model, the 「Xinghaitu G-0 Model」—also the first VLA model to be commercialized in China. According to Xinghaitu, at the exhibition, you』ll be able to control the R1 Lite with a single natural language command to complete the complex, long-duration task of making a bed in a randomly arranged bedroom scenario, showcasing its exceptional generalization and stable execution capabilities. Visitors can also put on a VR headset and use the isomorphic teleoperation system of Xinghaitu R1 Pro to grab toys, solve puzzles, or practice Tai Chi.
LimX Dynamicswill debut its full-sized humanoid robot, LimX Oli, starting at 158,000 RMB during the WRC. LimX Oli stands 165cm tall and features 31 degrees of freedom (excluding end-effectors). It is primarily aimed at AI researchers, robot developers, and solution integrators in the general-purpose robotics field. The robot is available in three versions: Lite, EDU, and Super, providing comprehensive and efficient support for the training, validation, and implementation of complex perception, motion control, and interaction algorithms. Prior to this, LimX Dynamics announced the completion of a new round of financing led strategically by JD.com.
PHYBOT will showcase its high-performance general-purpose humanoid robot PHYBOT M1, its embodied intelligent companion PHYBOT C1, and its fully self-developed integrated cycloidal joint module series, PhyArc, at the WRC. T
The PHYBOT M1 is a high-performance general-purpose humanoid robot designed for complex scenarios, featuring a 172cm human-like structure and weighing only 60kg. Since its founding, PHYBOT has completed angel and angel+ rounds of financing, with investors including Fourier, Frees Fund, Z Fund (Zhipu Ecosystem Fund), Ginkgo Valley Capital, Xinyada, and the Tsinghua Alumni Fund.
Robotera Intelligence will showcase its Astribot S1 all-purpose AI robot, offering live remote control experiences and AI demonstrations to fully display its embodied intelligence capabilities. Vita Dynamics will present its VITA companion robot, which will open for pre-sale and founder benefits in October, with a formal consumer launch planned for the fourth quarter of this year.
In addition, Keenon Robotics will showcase interactive experiences with its XMAN series of humanoid robots during WRC, demonstrating how embodied intelligence is reshaping the future of life and industrial ecosystems across multiple scenarios and forms.
CASBOT will present its three core products at the conference: the full-sized bipedal humanoid robot CASBOT 02, the wheeled embodied intelligent robot CASBOT W1, and the five-finger lightweight dexterous hand CASBOT Handle-L1.
X Square Robot will debut its newly released next-generation embodied wheeled humanoid robot Quanta X2 at WRC, along with its embodied intelligence model technology.
Spirit AI will demonstrate its full-force controlled humanoid robot Moz1 performing tasks such as walking and stacking blocks.
Shenzhen-based DexForce will showcase its core products, PickWiz and X-Wiz Embodied Brain, based on Sim2Real (synthetic data) technology. Recently, DexForce announced the completion of several hundred million yuan in Series A1 & A2 funding rounds.
iFLYTEK will showcase products such as humanoid robots and Go-playing robots, while SenseTime will present its Yuanluobo brand robot products, as well as demonstrations of embodied intelligence applications in collaboration with robot body manufacturers.
Hall C will spotlight component and supply chain manufacturers, featuring innovations such as dexterous hand technologies from Yinshi, Linkerbot, and BrainCo. Juwei Technology, a Hangzhou-based firm making its WRC debut, will unveil the MOVENEW T1, the world』s first wheeled quadruped autonomous-following robot. Meanwhile, Yizhuang Robotics will exhibit its embodied intelligence robot assembly. The company, Beijing Yizhuang Robotics Technology Industry Development Co., Ltd., is also spearheading the development of an international robotics industrial park to support investment, manufacturing, and innovation in the sector.
Together, the three exhibition halls offer a comprehensive view of the robotics ecosystem: Hall A focuses on robot boxing and soccer competitions; Hall B highlights humanoid robots in real-world applications; and Hall C showcases breakthroughs across the robotics supply chain.
China』s humanoid robot sector has entered a phase of fierce competition, according to Fourier Intelligence founder and CEO Gu Jie, who noted that the pace of industry development has accelerated three- to five-fold over the past year.
Official data shows that in H1 2025, China』s industrial robot output rose 35.6% year-on-year, while service robot production increased 25.5%. The country is now home to over 930,000 robotics-related enterprises, with more than 100,000 new companies established in the first half alone—a 45% increase from the same period in 2024.
Looking ahead, Citigroup forecasts the global humanoid robot market will reach $7 trillion (around RMB 50 trillion) by 2050, with an estimated 650 million humanoid robots deployed worldwide.
